The terms, in plain words

By using Munckie you agree to these terms and to how we handle your data (see Privacy). Last updated 9 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Munckie is a small, independent baby log made in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Questions: hello@munckie.com.

2. What Munckie is

Munckie helps you keep a record of your baby's days (feeds, sleep, diapers and more), moments and photos, and turn them into a photo book you can print yourself. Munckie is free while it is being tested. It is still being built: things change, and something can go wrong. Save a copy now and then (Settings → Data).

3. Not medical advice

• Munckie keeps a record. It does not give medical advice, a diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace your doctor, midwife or health visitor.
• Charts, growth curves, summaries and allergen tracking show what you logged, for your information. Don't make health decisions based on them alone.
• In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US and Canada).

4. Your account and your family

• You need to be 16 or older to use Munckie.
• You sign in with your email address; keep access to it safe.
• You decide who you invite to your family and what they may do (look, add entries, save a copy of everything). You're responsible for those choices.

5. Your content stays yours

• Everything you add (entries, notes, photos) stays yours.
• You give us permission only to store it, show it to your family, and work with it to provide Munckie (for example to make your photo book or video).
• We don't sell it, don't use it for ads, and don't use it to train AI.
• Only add photos and details you're allowed to share. Ask others before adding photos of them.

6. Fair use

Please don't:

• add content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to share;
• try to get into another family's data, or into parts of Munckie you're not meant to reach;
• download or upload in bulk with scripts, or overload the service.

To keep Munckie fair for everyone there are limits per family (for example on the number of photos). We may change them.

7. Changes and availability

• We may change, add or remove features, especially while testing.
• Munckie is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it is always available or without mistakes.
• If we ever stop Munckie, we'll tell you in advance where we can, so you have time to save a copy.

8. Responsibility

As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect damage or for lost data — that's why saving a copy matters. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

9. Stopping

• You can stop at any time and delete your family and everything in it (Settings → Family).
• We may end access for someone who misuses Munckie or breaks these terms.

10. Paid extras later

Munckie may offer paid extras for the photo book later (such as extra themes). If so, you'll see the price and terms before you buy. Privacy and safety are never a paid extra.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll say so on this page and in the app, with the date.

12. Law

Dutch law applies. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection your own country's consumer law gives you.
